Mount Pleasant Primary School

The School Day

We strongly encourage punctuality and expect all children to be in school on time. The start of the day routine is incredibly important to children; we like to greet all our children and set them up for a positive day of learning. Our Collective Worship, Singing and Whole School Assemblies take part first thing and are a very important aspect of Mount Pleasant life; it's where we share our school values and expectations, learn about British Values and celebrate our many successes and achievements.

Start and end of the day routines

The main gates and EYFS/KS1 doors are opened at 8.40am every morning to allow parents to safely drop off their children. The children can then line up ready to be registered and go into class go straight into their classrooms when the school bell rings and gates close at 8.45am.

At the end of the day, children are dismissed via allocated doors, onto the playground at 3.15pm.  They will only be allowed to leave with adults that the school have been notified about.  Parents are asked to provide school with a password which will be asked for if someone else is collecting their child.

The total delivery time of a school week is currently 32 hours 30 minutes.

 Nursery Timings

Our youngest children in Nursery attend a 3 hour morning or afternoon session.  Children are welcomed and delivered back to parents/carers at the same door.

Morning Nursery begins at 8:30am and ends at 11:30 am.

Afternoon Nursery begins at 12:15pm and ends at 3:15pm.
