Year 2 Dudley Zoo

We had a wonderful visit to Dudley Zoo, and it was a very exciting and interesting experience for the children The children enjoyed seeing a wide range of animals and learning how each one has a special habitat that suits its needs. During the Creature Feature workshop, we got to see and touch a variety of animals, which made the learning even more engaging and memorable.

 The children talked about what the animals eat, linking this to their science learning about diet and how different animals need different types of food to stay healthy. Seeing the animals up close helped the children understand how habitats provide food, shelter and space, and why it is important to look after them. Learning beyond the classroom, inspires curiosity, enthusiasm and a love of learning about animals and the natural world.
