STEM
Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics
Year 4 and 5 children have had an exciting start to our STEM club this term. We have mainly been focusing on technology so far. We have explored how coding has changed throughout history including the use of morse and binary code. We have shown fantastic understanding of binary code and have even created some of our own. We have enjoyed using the Micro:bits that we have in school; we have designed and written our own code which has included messages, if statements, LED display, text and sound we have composed ourselves. As we move into the upcoming weeks, we are excited to use our mathematics and scientific skills to conduct a series of fun experiments!
In STEM club we designed and created a wind powered boat which would effectively travelling through water quickly. We will testing which boat moves the quickest next week when the boats are completed.
