At Mount Pleasant, we are committed to nurturing our childrens understanding of their roles as responsible British and global citizens. We actively engage in initiatives that promote environmental responsibility, such as providing recycling bins throughout the school and organising regular litter picks in our local area. Our Year 2 students have taken a proactive step by writing to Kier Starmer, seeking insights on measures to combat plastic pollution and enhance ocean conservation efforts.

Through our curriculum, children explore pressing global issues, including the use of water, climate change, and the importance of recycling and renewable resources. By fostering a sense of responsibility and encouraging positive actions, we empower our students to make meaningful contributions to both their local community and the wider world. Together, we can create a brighter, more sustainable future for all.
