Policies and Procedures
Mount Pleasant Primary School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.
We have several policies and procedures in place that contribute to our safeguarding commitment, including our Child Protection Policy which can be viewed below.
Sometimes we may need to share information and work in partnership with other agencies, when there are concerns about a child's welfare. We will ensure that our concerns about our pupils are discussed with parents/carers first, unless we have reason to believe that such a move would be contrary to the child's welfare.
At Mount Pleasant we believe that all children should be kept safe both in school and out and do our utmost to ensure that all children have an awareness and understanding of what it means to be safe.
It is very important that you keep safe and feel safe, whether you are at school, at home, or out playing with your friends. You may find this page helpful; it may support you with some ideas of what to do if you do not feel safe, or if you know of someone else who may not be safe.
As a school we work closely with our community to ensure the behaviour and attitude of all is exemplary, with visits from local PCSOs and local E-safety groups.
We actively support the Government's Prevent Agenda to counter radicalism and extremism, and all staff are trained in identifying and acting upon potential risks.
